Give Them Boxes and Markers

Set them up a few big boxes, markers and their imagination. If they’re old enough, construction paper and glue sticks are always a fun edition too. Maybe they will create a fort, a maze, a truck or something completely imagined. Kids tend to get completely immersed in these projects before they know it, hours have flown by.

DIY Finger Paints

Whip up these DIY finger paints with items you probably already have in your pantry. Turn it into a science experiment by playing around with color mixing. Then supply them with pads of paper and watch the kids spend the day feeding their inner picasso.

Create Your Own Magnet Puzzle 

Turn family photographs, small posters or the kids paintings into an easy magnet puzzle. The only things you need are large popsicle sticks, sticky magnets and a photo. These make great gifts for the holidays and they’re a fun way to pass the afternoon!
