When it comes to decorating pumpkins for Halloween, some decide to go with traditional cutouts depicting ghosts or faces, while others thrive on getting creative and coming up with a design all their own. Why I am a sucker for traditional pumpkins, I love seeing how creative others get this time of year! Not only does getting creative with a pumpkin design require patience, but a lot of imagination too!
Some of the most unique pumpkins I loved seeing this year came from many of the leading Disney Channel stars! Using everything from traditional carving tools to spray paint and even hair extensions, these pumpkins are both fun to look at and great inspiration if you haven’t decorated your pumpkin yet. As we get closer to Halloween, decorating a pumpkin can be a great way to get into the festivities that can last all week! Here are my top four favorite Disney Channel star’s designs this Halloween!
Debby Ryan from the hit show Jessie, shows off her beautiful, multi-flowered design that must illuminate wonderfully when a tea light shines brightly through! When Debby Ryan isn’t carving pumpkins, she can be found in the upcoming films Muppets Most Wanted and Last Chance Holiday coming out soon!
Ross Lynch from Teen Beach Movie and Austin & Ally took time backstage to showcase his unique pumpkin that required no carving at all. Using hair extensions and a toupee this can be a great conversation starter!
Dove Cameron who plays a main character on Liv & Maddie, took a cute approach to the typical Halloween face by adding bigger eyes and an adorable little mouth.
Finally, the best (in my opinion) and last, is none other than Disney Channel star Francesca Capaldi from Dog with a Blog who used five silver spray painted pumpkins to recreate Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage!
Tips: If you plan on carving a pumpkin this year, you can save the seeds and toast them at 300 degrees F for 45 minutes making for a yummy snack, and can also try our homemade pumpkin spice latte recipe using the pumpkin’s stringy insides!
