Thanks to my invitation from Kia to cover the LPGA Performance Awards, I was able to escape the onset of a brutal Michigan winter and run away to none other than the Ritz Carlton in Naples, Florida. The 80 degree weather and warm ocean breeze was a welcome respite but it was the awesome customer service that really made the stay memorable. I loved the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort‘s mediterranean influence. There are over 295 well-appointed guest rooms, including 31 club rooms, 40 suites and a Presidential Suite.
The Room
Our spacious room had all of the amenities you would expect from a AAA Four-Diamond, Mobil Four-Star hotel. The two double beds were comfortable with all the pillows I could sink my head into and lightweight down comforters. There was a small sitting area, a fridge, a 37in flat screen tv, a safe, and a desk. But it was the bathroom that won me over. It’s marble shower with multiple jets was an instant winner and great for washing away the jet lag. It also boasted lightweight waffle bathrobes, lighted make-up mirror (yay!), hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Thanks to the double vanity there was plenty of room for all the supplies of two girls. After freshening up from our day of travel we took a trip to the bar, one of three dining establishments.
The View
The Ritz Carlton sits on the Tiburon Golf Course, a Greg Norman-designed championship golf course. The course is outfitted with British Colonial décor and set up to reflect the games’ origin.
The Service
One of the things I loved most about the Ritz Carlton was their exceptional customer service. Each morning we recieved prompt and delicious room service. Our bed was turned down each evening and two chocolates were waiting for us. I don’t know who told them, but the easiest way to my heart is definitely chocolate. Guests are not only encouraged to experience everything the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort has to offer but to also head down to the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort to take advantage of their ocean side views, pool, spa and dining establishments. They even provide shuttle service.
The Spa
Unfortunately the Spa at the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort was under construction. However, they were so kind as to schedule our appointment just a short drive away at the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort. After being treated to a short but thorough tour, I realized too late that I had forgotten all of my beauty supplies. Thankfully the Spa offered full amenities and I was able to tame my wild hair post massage. During the short wait, I lounged in the hot tub before I was led to a friendly and knowledgeable masseuse. After discussing some of my back problems (scoliosis) he was so kind as to give my back special treatment and the hour passed by in pleasant conversation and relaxation. Afterwards I recovered with fresh lemon water until I was able to drag myself away from the hot tub and head back to the golf course. Afterwards, we had a pool side lunch and then got drinks on the beach while we soaked up some sun.
I so need to be there right now! Perfect for this after the holiday madness
This place looks amazing. What I would do for a getaway vacation right now.
Wow, this place looks so amazing! I wish I could visit–it is like paradise!
The Ritz looks amazing and how nice of Kia. We travel as a large pack (8 in total) I would love a room suitable for us all. Looks like a good time.
I stayed at a Ritz in Nola a couple of years ago and they certainly do know how to pamper their guests. I’ll have to remember this one when I’m down in the Fort Myers area next!
