Kia Motors America is helping celebrate the brave men and women that have served our Nation. This May, Kia will support Run For The Wall, a special event to promote healing and accountability for those that have served our country. As a way to bring communities together to honor our veterans, Run For The Wall is a 10-day cross-country motorcycle journey from Southern California to the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. To aid in this event, Kia is providing all new 2015 Sedona mini-vans to transport those unable to ride as well provide transportation for any needed supplies along this honorable trek.
Starting on May 13, 2015 in Ontario, CA, riders will depart for 10 days on the road in honor of the Veterans, Prisoners of War (POWs) and the Missing in Action (MIA). This journey is dedicated to the brave Veterans and their families and friends as they move forward on the path of healing. The Kia Sedonas will be a part of this motorcade carrying over a thousand riders that would be unable to make the journey without Kia’s help. It will also supply transport for wreaths and other items offered by communities and school children to be left at the Vietnam Memorial. In addition to the provided Sedonas, Kia will also sponsor a fuel stop along all three routes.
This 10 day ride will include stops at Veteran’s Hospitals, schools and memorials to raise awareness and support. At each stop, neighboring communities will provide meals and any needed logistical aid to the riders as they make this emotional journey.
Ken Hargrove, President of Run for the Wall, greatly appreciates Kia’s aid, affirming that it has been “instrumental in helping [the] riders make what, for many, is an emotional trek across the country.”
Please visit Run for the Wall to find a schedule of events and a list of the cities in which stops will occur. You can also find information about joining the cause. If you wish to ride there is also onsite registration available at the daily launch site.
