The holidays for me basically amount to me pinning a bunch of really cute and amazing holiday treats and recipes that unfortunately usually end up being big fat Pinterest fails.
If you’re in the same boat, or have a hard enough time just boiling water – don’t fear.
You can still make something incredibly cute with this incredibly easy to make Christmas chocolate dipped marshmallows recipe.
This recipe is so simple, even the youngest of kids can help!
Pin this for later!
Winter Wonderland Chocolate Dipped Marshmallows
Ingredients
- Mix of regular and giant marshmallows
- 2/3 cup chocolate chips
- holiday nonpareils and winter sprinkles (we used snowflakes along with red and white candy canes)
- cake pop sticks or paper straws (or for something completely edible, you could use peppermint sticks or pretzel sticks too!)
Directions
Slowly melt the chocolate to the package instructions, stirring constantly.
Push the sticks into the marshmallows almost all the way and set up something that will hold the dipped marshmallows while the chocolate sets.
Make sure it isn’t something that will tip over. I used a sturdy popsicle mold or floral foam works great too!
Dip a marshmallow into the melted chocolate and then sprinkle with fun candies.
Allow to fully harden before enjoying.
This will take about 20 minutes at room temp or you can pop them in the fridge or freezer to speed up that process.Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
