Mission: To improve access to health care by providing free air transportation to hospitals across America for low income families; to promote awareness of our services through targeted outreach programs; to enlist the help of community-minded people through strategic calls to action; to promote the spirit of volunteerism.

Starlight Children’s Foundation
Starlight Children’s Foundation mission is to partner with experts to improve the life and health of kids and families around the world. While they do this in a variety of ways the Starlight Wish Lists is amazing. It’s the world’s first technology platform of its kind links donors to healthcare facilities to fund unmet needs and improve pediatric care. Hospitals, clinics and hospices publish their Wish Lists on starlight.org and donors grant wishes for their facility of choice.
So, what do these NonProfits have in common? They were started by people in your neighborhoods. By caring people are quietly doing amazing things for the health of their communities. To say thank you, Health Mart and their independent pharmacists are awarding $50,000 in grants to community health non-profits to recognize them for improving health and well-being in their communities.
- A $30,000 grant chosen by the grand prize winner
- A $3,000 grant chosen by the 2nd place winner
- A $2,000 grant chosen by the 3rd place winner
- $1,000 grants chosen by each of 15 finalists
Health Mart’s Champions of Care Challenge serves to shine a bright light on those unsung local heroes whose everyday actions have built healthier families, workplaces, neighborhoods and communities. Here’s how it works: Visit Health Mart Community TODAY to nominate someone or yourself for the Champions of Care Challenge from Health Mart! THEN, starting on March 17th, the public will have two weeks to vote for their favorite Champions of Care.
This post is written on behalf of Health Mart by me. All opinions are 100% mine.
I’ve never heard of any of these organizations before but they all sound so helpful and necessary! I’m trying to think of an org that I can nominate for HealthMart! What a fantastic promotion!
Thank you so much for sharing this information! I know of a few non-profits that are working to bettering their communities, and one of these grants would definitely be a help. :)
I love social causes and know that the flights getting to the place where these kids need help is hard so it’s great to use that someone is doing something about this.

I’m happy to learn about some new (to me) nonprofits! I really am feeling pulled towards Miracle Flights. I’m going to go learn more about that one and possibly helping.
