Hardworking teachers are what keep our world moving forward. They dedicate their lives to educating the future generations that will become leaders, inventors, doctors, and changers of the world. Norwegian Cruise Line wants to recognize these dedicated teachers. They have just launched the Norwegian Cruise Line Giving Joy campaign in an effort to honor and reward educators both in the United States and in Canada. NCL will be giving 15 lucky teachers a free cruise and the chance to win $15,000 for their school.
With over five decades of history, Norwegian Cruise Line has been a leader of innovative travel, and the new campaign coincides with the unveiling of the line’s 15th ship, the Norwegian Joy. NCL is excited to honor deserving teachers and bring travel and education together. Travel is a real world teacher that connects people and expands awareness of the world around us. This is why NCL is eager to give teachers the chance to expand their own horizons and deliver a well-deserved vacation.
“Travel is a powerful means of education,” said Andy Stuart, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line. “It brings people closer to each other and to diverse cultures around the world. It promotes awareness and understanding…it broadens perspectives. Through our Norwegian Cruise Line Giving Joy campaign, we celebrate the power of education and travel, and reward teachers who have taken responsibility for our future, our children, and who lean into that responsibility with all they’ve got.”
If you know a teacher that should be recognized for all their work, the campaign is now accepting nominations of certified or accredited teachers in the United States and Canada until April 12th. At the end of the submissions, the fifteen teachers with the most votes will win a seven day cruise for two. Airfare and accommodations will be provided for an official award ceremony in Seattle on May 3, 2019 where the 15 teachers will have a chance to win $15,000 for their own school.

PPPSSSTTTTTTT…..
The Norwegian Joy will debut in the United States in late April after a $50 million renovation that has made the ship almost identical to its sister ship, the Norwegian Bliss. It is filled with luxurious amenities and experiences for everyone. Passengers can enjoy the new go-kart track, and a gaming and virtual reality center. There are also brand new dining and bars for some of the best dining. The maiden voyage for Joy starts on May 4, 2019 in advance of Teacher Appreciation week. It will begin a seven day Alaska cruise starting in Seattle. In the fall, the ship is also set to sail to the Mexican Riviera from LA as well as the Panama Canal from LA and Miami. In 2020, the ship will cruise from Miami to the Caribbean.
I have been invited to get a sneak peak of the Norwegian Joy before her maiden voyage and will be sailing April 26-29 and sharing my experience live on Instagram Stories @JeanaTravels. Please join me!
This is NOT a sponsored post, but I have been hosted by Norwegian Cruise Lines in the past and love their ships and sailings!!
