There is a place in Malacca where a babbling brook cuts through leafy trees who offer shade to two story log cabins. This little piece of paradise is home to the 5-star Philea Resort. Pulling up on it’s brick drive, my travel group was deposited at the open air lobby for check in.
After checking in, I followed the paved pathway tracing along the brook. Past the clubhouse, bar and pool I made my way over a bridge, behind a soothing waterfall and in between rows and rows of rustic architecture. Lush greenery and native flowers dotted the pathway until I came upon my cabin.
Philea Resort and Spa in Malaysia offers 201 elegant rooms and suites in three designs. I was located in the Pavilion Room which is one of the most popular choices. The space is compromised of one king or two single beds, a mini bar, a spacious bathroom and closet.
The rooms also feature air conditioning (perfect for escaping the muggy Malaysian weather), LCD TV, kettle, wi-fi and more. The rooms keep with the rustic atmosphere with pine log beds, railway sleepers and even recycled materials.
Guests of the resort are treated to a five star experience with amenities including:
- Swimming Pool
- Gym
- Viva & Voila Karaoke Rooms
- PhiliKidz and Games Room
- Tanjung Wellness Spa (extra)
- Recreation Activities
Philea Resorts also boast five eateries including a pool side cabana, bar, and three restaurants. I had the opportunity to dine at Cravo Cravo and the food was delicious.
While I was only able to spend a few short days at Philea Resort, it was my favorite location of my trip to Malaysia. I could easily see myself bringing my family back for a relaxing escape – or even just stowing away my husband for a romantic getaway. I love all inclusive resorts and Philea offers some great packages for a variety of escapes.
