Each year in comes a flurry of Christmas cards from friends and family. I enjoy checking the mail to see happy surprises and well wishes for the new year. The problem? They come yearly!

I hate clutter, but I have a hard time throwing out these sweet momentos at the end of each holiday season. Instead I would store them in a box until next years came. I would dump out that box and then refill it with the new. Tedious right? This year we switched things up by deciding to recycle Christmas cards into ornaments for our tree.
These DIY Holiday ornaments were super easy to make. Using construction paper I drew templates free hand. Then it was just a matter of cutting, punching a hole and adding ribbon. I took it a step further by then pasting the construction paper templates to the back of the ornaments and pasting the message that was inside the card onto that.
