If you’ve ever checked out Pinterest, you may notice that a large portion of pins are dedicated to either weddings or recipes. And why not? Pinterest is a visual way to organize thoughts, ideas, inspiration or to-do lists and planning a wedding definitely falls into several of those categories!
A current popular wedding trend is what I like to call “your typical Pinterest wedding” – rustic, nature inspired, romantic, charming, vintage and lots of DIY. What makes these weddings so popular is not only the obvious beauty, but that it’s budget friendly and allows the couple to really personalize and make their special day unique.
One of the most carefully planned and noticed parts of wedding decor tends to be the flowers. Type, color and arrangement instantly gives mood and overall feel of the day. Luckily, your flower selection for a rustic feel is wide and varied – from wildflowers, to muted colors, to greens and succulents. Here are a few ideas I found for rustic wedding flower pieces.
These gorgeous wildflowers in a weaved basket would be perfect for an outdoor or barn wedding, right?
While most rustic settings tend to be earthy, muted tones, this pop of color might be just what you’re looking for if browns and beige just aren’t your thing.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this presentation of flowers in an upright bag. I thought a great way to save money on flowers for my wedding was to place decorative vases with sand and shells on each table. Once the ceremony was over, the bridesmaids would place their bouquets into the vases to double as centerpieces! This bag arrangement could be used in much the same manner. It could be really cute for the bridesmaids to carry these down the aisle and then place them on the reception tables later.
What screams rustic more than burlap? I love the mixture of rose buds, petite miniature gerberas, carnations lime green button chrysanthemums.
Green, yellow and white for wedding colors is very trendy choice right now. Perfectly bright and cheerful!
I’d be looking for the colored dot under my chair as soon as I saw this gorgeous arrangement of white roses, orchids and oriental lilies, all packaged elegantly in an eco-friendly hessian bag on our table! This is surely one of my favorites.

The flowers in the bag are pretty neat, you’re right. My mom likes to have rustic flower arrangements around her house.
