Some people are born with the most beautiful eyelashes and brows known to man. Others, cough cough, not so much. Over the years women have tried innumerable products to thicken their eyelashes and eyebrows making them appear more full and healthy. Elizabeth Arden recently introduced a serum that is designed to do just that, help create full eyelashes and eyebrows. And lucky me, I got the chance to try it first!
The PREVAGE Clinical Lash + Brow Enhancing Serum is a clinically tested formula that is proven to make lashes and brows appear longer, fuller and more beautiful in just 2 short weeks of daily use. This is an exclusive formula that consists of a triple peptide complex, which is boosted by vitamins, botanicals and lash conditioners. It also includes vitamins A, C and E, as well as botanicals and lash conditioners that fortify, help protect and revitalize eyelashes. Some other benefits of this serum is it helps to minimize breakage and helps lashes recover from damage caused by the environment and chemicals, as well as any physical damage they may receive.
The test results from the clinical study of this product were amazing! Of the 30 women who were a part of the clinical study, 100% of them showed an improvement in their lashes, with up to 40% improvement in the appearance of length, thickness and density of lashes in 4 weeks!!
What? results in 2 weeks?!?!? yes please!!
You all know I have tried to make my paltry eyelashes before with extensions and even other serums like this one. And while the extensions worked beautifully, they are expensive and slightly annoying to maintain. I couldn’t imagine having them all the time, as much as I’d love to. I’ve always been drawn to the products that make YOUR existing and natural lashes grow and thicken.
I’ve tried a few other serums in the past and they have all had warnings to where it could darken not only the skin it is applied to, but your EYECOLOR itself! Shut the front door! I like my hazel eyes. But of course, being the lash hungry girl that I am, I went ahead and decided to take the “risk” and try them anyway. Thing is, I was never able to use ANY of them for more than a day because they irritated my eyes and HURT. Some, my eyelids became so puffy I couldn’t see and others, made them itch to no end, while others stung something horrible if even the tiniest smidgen got in your eye. HELLO. Some drippy wet serum is GOING to get in my eye if I’m trying to get as close to my lash line as possible!
I was convinced I’d never find a product that worked for me. Thing is, everything about Prevage screamed at me to try again. This is a very safe product to use having been Ophthalmologist safety tested; clinically and dermatologist tested. This formula is fragrance free, colorant and paraben free. Also, because this formula is also prostoglandin free it will not darken eyelids or change iris pigmentation.
Even better yet – it did not irritate my eyes AT ALL. No itchiness, no puffiness, no stinging. This is so incredibly true that I will admit that I’ve gotten lazy and messy with its application. I probably get more IN my eye than ON it. Lucky for me, it doesn’t matter :)
So enough talk. This is my before and after shot. I initially was sad and thought this product was not working for me. But now that I have the two photos side by side, I *can* see a slight difference in the length and thickness of my lashes. Can you?
I’m also going to take a moment here to admit that with all the travel I have done in the last 30 days, I have NOT been very good at remembering to apply the serum. You are supposed to do it every evening. I probably remembered 60% of the time to apply it. Even so, after about 4 weeks of half-ass use, these are the results I have seen. I’m actually impressed.
I do have high hopes for this product and have instituted a reminder system so that I can actually remember to apply this every evening for 2 weeks straight and report back to you. I’m confident I will see marked improvement.
If you are looking for a product to help with thinning lashes or brows then this is definitely a product you have to try.
The post made possible by SheSpeaks/Elizabeth Arden. I received product to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% mine.
I don’t think I could ever remember to use this.
